Precautionary Procedures

Gardasil® is the only vaccine that may help guard against diseases caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) types 6, 11, 16, and 18:
HPV types 16 and 18 cause more than 70% of cervical cancer cases, and HPV types 6 and 11 cause more that 90% of genital warts cases... Gardasil

The vaccine is approved for young women between the ages of 9 and 26. To see if you are eligible for the vaccine call your insurance company and ask them if they cover CPT code: 90649. Make sure to call the office to set up your appointment for your vaccine. If you do not have insurance or your insurance does not cover the vaccine, you may visit www.mohpv.com to find a list of clinics where you might be able to receive the vaccine for free. There also may be help available to you at www.merckhelps.com click on the Merck Vaccine Patient Assistance Program.
